Next Live Single - Let You Down Slow - Out 10 July

I am excited to announce the release of a live version of the track Let You Down Slow from my latest studio album, A Storm Is Coming, on Friday 10 July 2026.

To be released through my own label, Mad Hat Records, the track will be available on all digital platforms and can be pre-saved HERE. There will also be a video on my YouTube channel.

Let You Down Slow is a mid-tempo, female-fronted blues-rock track that delivers emotional honesty with calm confidence. The track rides a steady blues-rock groove with Hammond warmth, gritty guitars and a self-assured vocal. Many songs about separation frame it as cataclysmic, but here the lyrics show a parting of the ways being approached with maturity and restraint, choosing honesty over drama.

This is the second of several planned releases of live versions of tracks from A Storm Is Coming, with more to follow later in the year.

When break-up features in our song-writing, it is usually explosive, with the protagonists at war and those close by at considerable risk of collateral damage. In this track the story is one of planning to handle an inevitable parting quietly and with care. We have thoroughly enjoyed performing this track at our gigs and I am delighted to be sharing the live performance more widely.
