I am very excited to announce our first full-band streamed gig from the wonderful facility that is Birmingham Streams, which is a brand-new performance broadcast and social channel for Birmingham and surrounding areas that is aiming to:
Create a brand new creative platform accessible for the many not the few.
Bring an industry-standard broadcast level service into the heart of Birmingham City Centre.
Partner up with experts in their fields to explore new beginnings to long term partnerships that mutually benefits each other and the region as a whole.
Expand into a national service for recording artists to demonstrate their live skills as well as pre-recorded content and asset creation.
Hit a worldwide audience at a full range of demographics.
Bring some relief to the dark cloud the coronavirus has brought over our communities, by pulling them together in a geographical platform that is current and real.
The team is made up of some of the best minds in the Birmingham live music community that have come together to create this platform. I've been to see it, and it looks fantastic. NOTE: The facility operates under strict social distancing guidelines and has policies and procedures in place to ensure the safety of the band. All involved have agreed to adhere to the guidelines and are really excited to bring you this show! Full details in the poster. You can purchase a streaming key (ticket, to you and me!) HERE. To be clear, this is a bespoke platform that you view on your internet browser (or via your internet TV). It does not involve Facebook or YouTube (though a rehearsal 'teaser' will be broadcast on social media on the day of the gig). In addition to the gig there will be back-stage film, interviews and audience interaction, all hosted by a professional broadcaster.
(Please note - there is an error on the Birmingham Streams website and ticket system and it shows the date of the gig as 29 August in some places. It is the 28th and the error will be corrected soon.) I really hope to see you there!
