'Hold The Reins' Official Video Out Now

The Official Video for Hold The Reins, the third single from the next studio album, A Storm is Coming (due out on 31 October 2025), is now out on YouTube and you can see it below.

Finding locations for a video is quite a challenge, not least because many of the more interesting ones have been overdone, and at many UK sites of note filming is either not allowed at all, or only after the purchase of a licence, which can be expensive.

As with the video for These Days, we were able to find an interesting site in Europe. This time the location for the video was the abandoned and ruined Convento de São Francisco do Monte convent, located in the municipality of Viana do Castelo in Portugal, which dates back to the end of the fourteenth century. It is very isolated and accessed on foot via a long stone pathway up a hill. Once again we were faced with temperatures in the mid 30s during the walk up and throughout the filming.

It is a fascinating site, and if you are ever in the Porto/Braga area of northern Portugal it is worth a visit. It is sad to see it lying in ruins and, I'm going to be honest - it was so quiet and isolated I found it a bit unsettling. I'm glad we didn't film at dusk as we did with the These Days video!

Further information on the site can be found at https://www.f-atlas.eu/projects-2-1/convento-sao-francisco-do-monte. I hope you enjoy watching it. All we now need an interesting location for the next one! Rebecca xx
