Our interpretation of the Sananda Maitraya (Terence Trent D’Arby) song Sign Your Name, dropped on all streaming platforms on Friday 21 February and I've been blown away with the reaction to it, especially on Spotify where the mysterious algorithm (in the form of 'Release Radar') has given it a serious boost. I don't like doing teasers, but getting the ducks in a row isn't always easy when there's a lot going on, and I need to say something now because we have set Friday 31 October as the release date for our next - as yet unnamed - studio album. The songs are all written and we are confident we can finish recording, mixing, etc to meet that date. In connection with that, thanks to the marvellous Stephen Stanley at Solid Entertainments, we will be headlining his Tuesday Blues show on 28 October at the famous 100 Club in London, with support from JFK Blue and one other act to be confirmed, and this will be our album launch gig. We plan to release singles from the album through the summer, starting in May, and you will be the first to receive dates and details. After the significant hiatus of last year, 2025 promises to be the Year Of New Music for us, and I can't wait to share the tracks with you!
