Out today - our own interpretation of the compelling Melissa Etheridge ballad, This War Is Over, in support of my seasonal appeal for Dementia UK. The track is on all streaming platforms and YouTube (see below).
My lovely Mom, Brenda, has had dementia since 2020 and caring for her is now a full time occupation for my Dad, with a lot of help from me and others. Dementia UK does amazing work by providing support to people dealing with dementia. Their specialist nurses, known as Admiral Nurses, provide free, expert advice, support and understanding to help families care for their loved one.

I love Melissa Etheridge's music, and this song, is especially poignant because of its themes of personal liberation, resilience and finding hope through adversity.
As usual, it's me on the vocals with Steve Birkett playing all the instruments and doing the backing vocals. The track was recorded and produced by Steve and mixed and mastered by Steve and his son, Steve Birkett Jnr. The video was recorded and edited by Colin Speller.
