Rebecca Downes is a fully independent artist creating original blues/rock music with her co-songwriter Steve Birkett on her own label Mad Hat Records.
Rebecca and Steve perform their music within a 5-piece band, with Rebecca on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Steve on lead guitar and backing vocals along with keys and Hammond (Nigel Darvill or Aidan Goldstraw), bass guitar (Owen Davidson) and drums (Neil Ablard). Rebecca and Steve also perform their music in 'stripped back' style as a trio along with Neil Ablard on percussion.
